Dear Fellow Parent:

Idaho leaders talk a big game on school choice, but right now Governor Brad Little’s Charter School Commission is trying to disregard parents, and quietly close a charter school that would kick hundreds of at-risk students out of their current school with no other options, and strip parents of their choice in their child’s education.

THEY THINK PARENTS DON’T MATTER. In fact, the taxpayer funded Charter School Commissioners were urged by their staff, in a public hearing, to remember that PARENTS PLEAS DON’T MATTER in their decision. They were cautioned to DISREGARD the hundreds of emotional appeals submitted by parents and teachers that love their school– and close down the school of choice based on test scores alone.

The biggest impact of closing this important charter school will be felt by autistic, low income, special education, at-risk students and all parents throughout Idaho who have picked a school of choice for their child.
